Hello everyone, the persons has stepped into the Aupair house and the others are still outside “the window”, I am Ngoc Diep, 25 years old and being located in Garden City, Michigan, USA. Now is winter and this is the first time I saw snow, not as much as imagined. I do not understand when I was young I had intended to go to advanced countries to experience for a time. Priority is English-speaking countries because I do not know a different language ( I know a little Chinese but only a few sentences). Actually, I just think and want to do that, but there are not many opportunities. And at that time, I was not very determined, money to study oversea by self-sufficiency of course not. And the ability to earn a scholarship is not enough too.
A letter from Michigan, USA
November,15 2018But my friends, the wish always in myself, follow me from childhood to growing up. Maybe it’s not intense enough but it’s still be there. And somehow it will take you to the path that you unexpected. With those roads, somehow you do not realize. It will prepare everything for your wishes come true.
I know Aupair in August 2014. Before that I had a trip to some places outside the north, go with my cousin. At that time, more than half a month in the North but it costs only more than three million. That was my first trip. Although flying to Noi Bai, I only have two hundred thousand in my pocket, and thanks to that I have more determination to follow the Aupair.
I followed Aupair for over a year. At first like many aupairs, I also came to another center. But like a destiny, I had an opportunity to be met and supported from the Global Vietnam Aupair Vietnam’s sisters. Unlike the other center, I found a closer and more trustworthy from the Global’s sisters (this is my real feeling). For more than a year, to be able to sit in a small room, look out was the beautiful homes that was covered with snow. Like many other Aupairs, I have experienced different difficulties. Different families having different emotion. But the most pressure is gotten the trust from relatives, kept the fire to follow on my road. After that was the financial ability, the work, friends, love …And even when I came here, the difficult times have not ended with many people. But “No pain, no gain” my friends. The law of nature, nothing comes naturally to me. If you do not try, do not dare to exchange the other things and do not to keep moving forward till achieved the wishes.
For a year, Ms.Thinh, Ms.Thao has been with me all the time. They have done as much as they can to help and motivate me and the others. Since joining the program. I have new sisters and new friends. There are even “persons” that I have met for the first time until now, we are like friends that had known for a long time; simply we shared the same long road and connected together thanks to it.
I’ve been here more than 2 weeks, having a little “lazy” and homesick. Remembering my Vietnamese friends. But obviously, I do not have much time. One year not too long nor too short, will very fastly. So I will try to have memorable memories and learn as much as I can when I am here. Remembering when I could not find the US host. I considered between learning to drive and continue to pursue Aupair in America or going to learn German to open myself in a new path. I learned German because Aupair in America was still there. But then a sentence of a sister who was an Aupair in US said to me: “If you have a destiny with Aupair, definitely it has a family somewhere is waitting for you, the problem is time.” I found the host just as I finished the first German course.
My friends, I talked a lot, there are many things I want to tell. But come here and dare to challenge. Do not expect things too smoothly because it will not bring you much. The challenge will give you somethings you never thought. It’s okay, that will not make you die so do not be afraid, hehe. “Đông quó ri, du lờ bi OK” (Do not worry, you’ll be OK.). Good bye, everyone !
